‘Is The Coronavirus A Judgment From God?’
This Sunday, Dr. Robert Jeffress will discuss whether the coronavirus is a judgment from God and how Christians should respond to it.
DALLAS — In response to the coronavirus, Dr. Robert Jeffress, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, will discuss in his message on Sunday morning, March 8, at 9:15 and 10:50am whether the coronavirus is a judgment from God. In Dr. Jeffress’ current message series, Final Conquest, he is teaching through the final book of the Bible, Revelation. His message will focus on if the coronavirus is a judgment from God and how Christians should respond to it.
“The world is in a panic. The coronavirus has brought a humming global system to a screeching halt. Flights to China have been canceled, the entire city of Wuhan has been placed in quarantine, and people are avoiding even venturing outside. Countries whose citizens were visiting Wuhan have rapidly set up special flights and landing zones to prevent the spread of the virus to new places. Hundreds of people have died and thousands more have suffered from this powerful new virus.
For Christians, we shouldn’t be overcome by fear. The Bible reminds us that ‘God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind’ (2 Timothy 1:7). This Sunday, I will share some practical ways to avoid the ‘pandemic panic.’”
