Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before.
DivorceCare is a 13-week course and support group for those who are separated, divorced (whether recently or those divorced up to 5 years who desire help with unresolved issues relating to their divorce), and DivorceCare alumni (who wish to repeat the cycle). Some topics discussed include, "Facing My Anger," "The Road to Healing," "Facing My Loneliness and Depression," "Forgiveness," and "New Relationships." The group is led by trained facilitators but is not a substitute for professional counseling. It is a warm, caring environment led by people who understand the challenges and pain one faces in such a season. Through the small group discussion, DVD seminar, and workbook, one can find hope and healing for the future!
DivorceCare is offered through Pathways Counseling Center. For more information, 214.969.2456.
