The SonBurst class features a lecture teaching style and they use the “Explore the Bible” curriculum from Lifeway Resources. This is a very active class with 140+ attending each week. They enjoy fellowship several times throughout the year in member’s homes, at the lake, or an area restaurant. They also have luncheons after class a few times during the year.
The class teacher, Dr. Matthew McKellar, is a Professor of Preaching at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He is also Dr. Jeffress’ brother-in-law as he is married to Jennifer, Pastor’s sister. They live in Dallas.
