Join us for A Night of Hope on Sunday, July 12, at 6pm.
Worship with Michael O'Brien and laugh with comedian, Dennis Swanberg.
Michael O’Brien, a much-accomplished 20-year music veteran—perhaps most notably for his 7-year tenure as the lead singer of the Christian band Newsong. He left Newsong and came home, having been gone more than 225 nights a year for years, to seek the affection of his wife and children again. They reset their priorities, made huge adjustments to the calendar, and began focusing on reconnecting spiritually and as a family.
Doors of opportunity have opened for Michael to share his music and his and Heidi’s story of restoration. In addition to leading worship at various events, including Extraordinary Women Conferences and Wildfire Men’s Conferences, Michael has launched his own marriage enrichment date nights and weekend events called Tour De Romance.
Tour De Romance is a night of music and inspiration, a big date night for married couples that need to reconnect with each other and with God. This impact of this ministry, perhaps more than any God has entrusted him within 20 years, excites and energizes Michael.
Dennis served the local church in pastoral ministry for 23 years. Then, in 1995 Dennis took a leap of faith when he stepped down as church pastor and stepped up to the microphone on stages and platforms all across America and the World.
“The Swan” soon became “AMERICA’S MINISTER OF ENCOURAGEMENT”, a job he takes seriously as he continues to speak to about 150 organizations, faith-based groups and corporations every year. He has hosted two successful TV series, authored 9 books, and created over two dozen DVD/CD productions.
Dennis is a graduate of Baylor University where he majored in both Greek and Religion (1976). He earned both a Master of Divinity (1980) and a Doctor of Ministry (1986) at Southwestern Seminary, Ft. Worth, TX.
Dennis is married to the former Lauree Wilkes of Ft. Worth, TX. Dennis and Lauree have two grown sons: Chad and Dustin. Dustin and his wife, Britny, have two children of their own: Andrew James Floyd Swanberg and Maxine Harlow Swanberg. The Swans’ make their home in Granbury, Texas.
