Many of us live a fast-paced life. We are busy going from one activity to another and doing good things, but we may also be experiencing spiritual exhaustion. You may relate to Martha, who was so distracted with preparing a meal for Jesus, she missed an opportunity to be with Jesus (Luke 10:38–42)! Spiritual disciplines help us to be more aware of God’s presence, comfort, and guidance. We will look at a variety of inward disciplines, outward disciplines, and corporate disciplines. This course is designed to help you slow down through the practice of spiritual disciplines, and develop a spiritual rhythm where, like Martha’s sister Mary, you sit at Jesus’ feet and then with renewed energy and love, serve others.
