If any message reigns supreme in American culture it is this: you have a right to be whoever you want to be, believe and live however you want, and ignore everyone who believes differently. Many, maybe even you, hold to the belief that there is no God. Maybe it’s because you don’t like what you have seen and heard about the Christian God. Maybe you don’t like what you’ve seen from His people. Maybe you don’t like what He claims to stand for. Or maybe you simply don’t like what has been said or done to you in the name of faith and God.

For whatever reason, He is no longer relevant. You want facts over faith. Logic and reason are your God, and faith is an emotional connection to an unseen deity that cannot be proven. Our culture has come too far and science has advanced far too much to believe in stories about a man who claimed to be the Son of God, right?

We would challenge that logic has just as much to do with faith as emotion. In fact, we would say that the reality of Jesus, His death, burial, and resurrection have a mountain of evidence that support the validity for those who search. For that is what logic and science truly are, right? They are a journey, a search, a pursuit of the right answers.

You may be thinking, “Of course you are trying to convince me to believe in God. You are a church, after all. You are obligated to share about this God you believe in. You couldn’t possibly convince me in one post.”

You would be correct. No post or book written by man can address every question, circumstance or nuance involved in this topic. That is not our intention. We would love to convince you that there is a God who is real, created you, and loves you. He can be supported by science, but following Him is a step of faith. We don’t feel obligated to share with you. The best advocate for any topic is one who has passionately and diligently assessed the evidence and found it to be true. We have found the evidence to be overwhelming, and therefore we share it.

Don’t take our word for it. We invite you to take a journey and study the hard facts about Jesus. You aren’t alone in your search

In Lee Strobel’s book, A Case for Christ, the former atheist legal editor of the Chicago Tribune concludes after an intensive study spanning 600 days and countless hours that “it would require much more faith for me to maintain my atheism than to trust in Jesus of Nazareth!”

He goes on to say, “If my conclusion in the case for Christ is correct, your future and eternity hinge on how you respond to Christ (John 8:24).”

Strobel isn’t alone in his conclusion. C.S. Lewis, a renowned author and professor of Cambridge was also won over by the evidence for Jesus. In his book Mere Christianity, Lewis says:
“A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”

If you are correct that there is no God, then Christians have little to lose. We will simply fade into nothingness at our death. But if we are correct and there is indeed a God who came and made a way for mankind to live in eternity with him rather than separated from him in hell, then we have everything to gain, and you, friend, have eternity to lose.

Isn’t it worth a closer look? If, on the off chance, God is real and heaven and hell exist, isn’t it worth your due diligence to assess all the facts and research, not just opinions and assumptions to really and truly determine if God is real?

We believe that when you seek God, you find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). We believe the evidence will add up. Brilliant men, noted scholars, researchers, and writers of the past century have found this to be true after careful study.

But don’t take their word for it either. We would ask you to search, to mine the facts from the faith we claim. Conduct your own case study. Let the evidence speak for itself. Then come talk with us. We are ready to listen, to talk, and journey with you.
