2020 Half-Year Report | First Baptist Dallas
Winston Churchill said, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”
While this quote is certainly appropriate for this season of our ministry, for the Christian, the underlying principle goes much deeper and originated long before the days of Churchill. In his letter to the Romans, the Apostle Paul reminds us to “exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance, and perseverance, proven character and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
It’s been a different year in the life of our church, but Scripture promises that God uses everything for the good of those who love God, and so we want to celebrate what God has done in the first half of this year and as Churchill said, the “opportunities in every difficulty.” We have had the opportunity to do ministry in new ways during this season, and we have reached even more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Watch Executive Pastor Ben Lovvorn present a report of all God did in the first half of this year through First Baptist Dallas.
