Pastor Robert Jeffress: Senators Who Blocked Abortion Ban After 20 Weeks Are “Barbaric”
DALLAS — Pastor Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of First Baptist Dallas, releases the following statement deploring the Senate’s failure to advance the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act:
"It is unconscionable that the cowardly United States Senate would not put an end to this barbaric practice of allowing late-term abortions when infants can feel pain. One senator claimed that advancing this bill was ‘not a priority’ for him. But If he were a baby in the womb, threatened with the excruciating pain of being torn from limb to limb, I’ll guarantee you it would suddenly become a priority for him. The Senate’s callousness reminds me of President Reagan’s observation: ‘Have you noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born?’”
