We as a church are uniquely placed in one of the fastest growing cities in America so we can better spread the gospel here and throughout the world.
Depending on the total amount given to Fuel the Fire, we will be able to expand our reach, ministry, and influence and share the love of Jesus Christ and the God we worship. From 2016-2018, we hope to further expand and implement the following ministries...
Through Fuel the Fire, we plan to increase our marketing and advertising through radio, television, and other mediums to share about our church and inivite people to join us.
Dallas Life is a Christ-centered homeless shelter started by First Baptist Dallas. They provide meals, shelter, clothing, counseling services, health care, and spiritual care to families in need.
Your gifts will continue to support this family-oriented shelter that serves over 300,000 meals and provides 100,000 beds each year, which resulted in over 550 professions of faith in a given year.
First Baptist Academy
We hope to help FBA improve its facilities as it offers a Christ-centered education to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Through Fuel the Fire, we will help FBA provide improved lower school facilities to its students and capitalize on opportunities to become an even more effective ministry of First Dallas, including a relocation to the Saints Athletic Complex in the future.
Involved for Life
Together we can continue to save the precious lives of the preborn by supporting the ministry of Involved for Life.
Local Church Plant Partnerships
You can help us as we continue to partner with our local church plants for outreach opportunities such as VBS, Easter, and back-to-school.
We will partner with Dr. Bobby Worthington and Lake June Baptist Church to support their growing ministry.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
In just one year, the Lottie Moon Christmas offering helped bring the Gospel to more than 1.7 million people in 125 countries and helped start 6,200 new churches.
Through Fuel the Fire, we plan to increase our gift to this outreach.
In the last year, over 1,000 First Dallas members have been involved in mission projects including trips to Brazil, India, Kenya, and the Czech Republic.
Through Mission 1:8, we can train pastors in India to plant churches in low-income and rural areas, go to Kenya for evangelism and church planting, send students to serve in Ecuador, help support Tuen Mah Baptist Church in reaching the people of Hong Kong, and enhance our mission efforts in Guatemala.
Here are some of the international mission partnerships being planned:
- Mission trip for training conferences, medical clinics, and evangelism to the people of:
- Bhubaneshwar, Orissa (Orissa Baptist Convention)
- Hubli (Pastor Solomon Bija)
- Bangalore (Bangalore Baptist Hospital, Bethesda Ministries)
Mission India – an opportunity to help India’s believers reach their nation for Christ through:
- Training and equipping them to minister effectively
- Reaching children, illiterate adults, and the lowest of castes
- Planting churches that multiply
- Holding Children’s Bible Clubs
Mission trip for rural evangelism and church planting through:
- Partnering with Pastor Samson Kisia & Kenya Baptists
- Sending teams to partner with Kenyan believers
Support Tuen Mah Baptist Church with their facility, evangelism, and leadership
- They have a great opportunity to build a building in a very desirable area in Hong Kong with the permission from the Chinese government
- Our hope is that some of the funds considered for Tuen Mah could be used to help offset costs of their building and establish a partnership with First Dallas for the next several years
Mission trip to serve the Mayan people of the Central Highlands in the city of Comitancillo through:
- Assisting the indigenous Christian leadership with evangelism and discipleship
- Supporting Christian leaders in the planting and building of churches in unreached areas
- Training indigenous Christian leaders to be witnesses, teachers, and preachers
- Providing outreach to the Mayans through medical clinics, construction projects, and Bible schools
We hope to provide more opportunity for student choir mission trips and adult mission trips like Guatemala so more people hear the gospel through our own church members.
National Church Plants
Through Fuel the Fire, we will increase our influence and reach by supporting more national church plants, local mission partnerships, and international ministry partners.
North American Mission Board
The North American Mission Board (NAMB) exists to work with churches, associations, and state conventions in mobilizing Southern Baptists as a missional force to impact North America with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism and church planting.
Fuel the Fire will allow us to continue to give to the NAMB through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American missions, supporting missionaries and sending supplies to help others hear the message of Christ and respond to His offer of salvation.
Through Fuel the Fire, we will host more outreach events like Brooklyn Tabernacle Sunday and Explore First, which saw our largest number of guests in the history of our church outside of an Easter Sunday.
Pathway to Victory
Pathway to Victory, our broadcast program, is heard on over 800 radio stations all over the world and airs on DayStar and TBN. Through Fuel the Fire, we plan to expand Pathway to Victory through additional radio, television, and now digital and print platforms
Southern Baptist Cooperative Program
The cooperative program funds evangelism efforts, new churches, six Southern Baptist seminaries, The North American Mission Board, Southern Baptist churches, The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, and more.
Through Mission 1:8, we plan a 40 percent increase in SBC Cooperative Program giving, which will bring powerful added support to the six seminaries, 4,800 International Mission Board missionaries, 1,000 annual church plants, and a wide array of other ministries and missions.
Southern Baptists of Texas
The Southern Baptists of Texas Convention (SBTC) exists to facilitate, extend and enlarge the Great Commission ministries of the Southern Baptist Convention and Southern Baptist churches and associations of Texas.
Through Fuel the Fire, we will increase our giving to the SBTC, partnering with our denomination in taking the Gospel to unreached people in the state of Texas and beyond.
The Last Well
The goal of The Last Well is to provide water and the Gospel to over one million people in Liberia who do not have access to clean water.
Your commitment to Mission 1:8 will enable us to provide life-saving clean water and the life-saving message of the Gospel to 15 villages in war-torn Liberia, helping to end that nation’s water crisis by 2020. Just $3000 provides a well that will serve 600 people.
iCampus and Digital Media
Through Fuel the Fire, we will engage with and reach more people through effective means like our iCampus and digital media ministries.
