BAPTISM MINISTRY TEAM – (48 members)

Assist staff in preparing the candidates for baptism during the worship services.

BOARD MINISTRY TEAM – (9 members)
Chairman: Ken Stohner; Staff Liaison: Walter Guillaume
Nominate individuals to serve on the boards of First Baptist Academy, Downtown Pregnancy Center and Preschool ACSI Accreditation Board.  Serve as liaison for these boards to the Church.

CHURCH HERITAGE MINISTRY TEAM – (6 members)
Chairman: Mary Anne Dillard; Staff Liaison: Ruthe Turner
Collect and preserve the historical memorabilia of the Church.  Assist in the historical education of the Church to the membership.

DISASTER RESPONSE MINISTRY TEAM – (at least 6 members, pref. members with experience)
Chairman: Homer Thornton; Staff Liaison: Ron Cresswell
Coordinate a team within our church who is well-informed as to agencies and policies that we could work with in the event of a disaster, especially in Dallas.  This group would plan training for volunteers and would create strategy for response and communication.

ETHICS & RELIGIOUS LIBERTY MINISTRY TEAM – (9 members)
Chairman: Robby Campbell; Staff Liaison: Eric Williams
Conduct educational opportunities to inform members concerning moral and social issues.  Keep moral and social issues before the membership.

FACILITIES ENGINEERING MINISTRY TEAM – (9 members)
Chairman: Clay Barnett; Staff Liaison: Ron Cresswell
Work with the staff to maintain our Church & mission facilities.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS – (8 members)
Chairman: Jorge Gutierrez; Staff Liaison: John Bernard
To welcome and make a loving godly impression on church guests and members from the time of their arrival on the church campus until their departure.  Work thorough perimeter greeters, hosts, hostess, welcome centers, Sunday School escorts and ushers.

As requested, assist with Church receptions and special events.

INSURANCE MINISTRY TEAM – (6 members, prefer exp in the property, casualty or workers comp insurance industry)

Work with staff in the property, casualty and workers compensation insurance programs of the Church.

LEGAL RESOURCE MINISTRY TEAM –  (6 who practice law in Texas)
Chairman: Chris McNeil; Staff Liaison: Walter Guillaume
Provide staff legal counsel concerning the general operations of the Church.

METRO MISSIONS MINISTRY TEAM –  (9 members)
Chairman: Ali Khadivi; Staff Liaison: Michael Fore
Assist staff in the planning and monitoring of our metroplex missions program.

Work with the Pastor in the recommending of individuals within the Church for licensing and ordination.

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT MINISTRY TEAM –  (6 members)

Negotiate the acquisition and disposal of all physical properties.

RECREATION MINISTRY TEAM – (6 members)
Chairman: Brian Bobick; Staff Liaison: John Bernard
Assist staff in the development of programs related to our recreation facilities.

RIO GRANDE RIVER MINISTRY TEAM –  (6 members)
Chairman: Sue Wickham; Staff Liaison: Michael Fore
Coordinate the work of the Church in the Rio Grande Valley.

Work with the staff to develop safety policies and procedures.

STATESIDE MISSIONARY MINISTRY TEAM – (6 members)

Maintain the church's mission homes. Assist in involving those staying in our missionary homes into the life and program of our Church.

Promote the ministry of World Missions in our Church. Coordinate non-local mission programs conducted by our Church.

BYLAWS MINISTRY TEAM -  (9 Deacons)
Chairman: Haddon Winckler; Staff Liaison: Walter Guillaume
Review the Bylaws and make revisions as necessary. When called upon, give interpretation to the Bylaws.

COMMITTEE ON MINISTRY TEAMS -  (2 Ministry Team, 3 Pastor, 3 Fellowship of Deacons  = 8)

To nominate individuals to fill each of the positions on the various Ministry Teams. To monitor the work of the Ministry Teams, individually and as a whole.

DEACON SELECTION MINISTRY TEAM -  (2 Ministry Team, 3 Pastor, 4 Fellowship of Deacons = 9)
Chairman: Kyle Hearon; Staff Liaison: Dr. Robert Jeffress
To nominate to the Church men to serve on the Fellowship of Deacons. This includes both men returning to the Fellowship and men who are serving for the first time at First Baptist Church.

FINANCE MINISTRY TEAM –  (9 Deacons)

Monitor the finance program of the Church, develop financial policies and keep the status of the finances before the members.

PERSONNEL MINISTRY TEAM – (9 Deacons)
Chairman: Larry McLaughlin; Staff Liaison: Walter Guillaume
Work with the Pastor in the development of personnel policies and procedures and the handling of special personnel situations.

WILLS & TRUSTS / PLANNED GIVING MINISTRY TEAM –  (9 Deacons)
Chairman: Roddy Cummins; Staff Liaison: Walter Guillaume
Monitor the Wills and Trust funds of our Church. Consider requests related to these trust funds.
