The Crossroad Church
Pastor Bob Rao
Bob (Krishna) Rao’s parents immigrated to the U.S. from India in the late 50s. Bob was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but came to Texas as soon as possible (1975). He graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1978 and majored in Biology and Chemistry at SMU during the Pony Express days. He finished his MD at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his residency at Parkland Hospital in Anesthesiology. He has been in the same practice for the past 20 years. Bob met his wife, Stacey, during his residency. They have been married for 22 years and have four awesome kids. They are presently enjoying the teenage years of the younger two kids.
Bob and Stacey were one of the founding couples of The Crossroad Church. He initially served as chairman of the elder board. When the founding pastor transitioned to his new ministry, Bob felt God’s call to the role of pastor. He is presently serving as senior pastor in a bivocational manner. Bob and Stacey appreciate your prayers as they embark on this adventure.

Iglesia Bautista Comunidad Hispana
Pastor Porfirio Abad
Born in Matanzas, Cuba, Porfirio was acquainted with the Gospel because his parents took him to church since his early years, although his decision to receive the Lord came in his teenage years. After being discipled by his pastor, Porfirio felt God calling him into the ministry. After graduating from the Baptist Seminary of Havana, he married his wife Rachel, who studied there, as well.
The Lord called them to a church that had been without a pastor for decades and had dwindled down to ten members, so they trusted God and went to work. God blessed and the church began to grow, and eventually became a thriving ministry which has planted dozens of new works. Porfirio and his wife arrived in the U.S. in 2011 and have begun a new church, Iglesia Bautista Comunidad Hispana.

Keystone Community Church
Pastor Damon Halliday
Damon Halliday has served as Pastor of Keystone Community Church for several years. Prior to his ministry at Keystone, he spent 16 years at American Airlines, where he still teaches two weekly Bible Studies.
Because of its location in the midst of the Cavile Housing Project in Fort Worth, Keystone has been able to reach many low-income, inner-city people whom others have considered unreachable. Keystone is active in creative evangelistic events, including sports evangelism. Their most recent outreach drew 450 people, 30 of them making professions of faith and 15 coming forward for baptism.

Japanese Mission Church of Dallas
Pastor Futoshi Shingaki
Before becoming a Christian, Pastor Futoshi Shingaki feared death, as he hopelessly believed nothing awaited him. Moreover, he had no hope in life, knowing that death was inescapable. After coming to know the Lord, Futoshi’s world, once full of darkness, is now full of hope and life.
The Japanese Chapel welcomes all ethnicities and treats each guest as a VIP, Japanese style! Most members are bilingual, so Christian fellowship at their weekly luncheon (after Sunday worship) is comfortable for all.

Prison Ministry
Jerry Bedison
“Remember the prisoners, as though you were in prison with them...” Hebrews 13:3
God has given Jerry Bedison a passion and calling to reach out to the incarcerated and their families, something he has been faithfully doing for more than 30 years. Every Sunday, Jerry coordinates services at the county jail for more than 30 churches. This has opened ministry to those in isolation from the general population as well.
Do you have a friend or loved one who needs someone to visit and counsel with them? Our prison minister is available to counsel with inmates and their families as needed. He is teaching discipleship classes weekly for those out of prison who need to rebuild their lives and walk with the Lord.
