As we draw near to Christmas, it is normal that our hearts begin to shift toward the reason for the season – the light of the world who is truly the hope of the world.

For those of us who have trusted in Christ, Jesus says we also are a light to the world, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. I believe the body of Christ is to be the representative of Jesus today, and I believe First Baptist Dallas is leading the charge in transforming the world with God’s Word…one life at a time.

I want to ask that you begin praying about how the Lord may lead you to be a light to a darkening world on Light of the World Sunday, December 17. We believe God has big plans in store for the coming year, but in order to be all God is calling us to be, we are asking that you bring a special gift on December 17 to enable our ministries to thrive and grow in 2018.

You are a light to the world. Together, we are piercing the darkness more and more, and we want to do that in an even greater way next year. I look forward to all God has in store and how He will use your giving on Sunday, December 17 to reach many more for His glory.

Gratefully,

Dr. Robert Jeffress
Senior Pastor
