Since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made.
Why do evolutionists cling to their theory, even though there is a mountain of evidence against it?
Evolution is more than a scientific theory—it is a religious philosophy that claims life is the result of random chance, not that of a divine designer. Now, some poor misguided souls, even Christians, will say things like, “Well, can’t we dialogue with the evolutionists?” And they try to dialogue with the evolutionists and build a bridge to the evolutionists by saying, “Well, we believe in theistic evolution. That is, we believe that God used evolution to accomplish the diversity in life-forms that exists today. Have you ever heard that before—God used the process of evolution?
Any Christian who claims such a thing is ignorant of the Bible beyond all description and possibility. Anybody who claims that God used evolution to accomplish the diversity of life doesn’t have a clue what the Bible teaches. There is no allowance for macroevolution in the Bible. And anyone who believes in theistic evolution doesn’t even understand what the evolutionist is claiming, because an evolutionist has no allowance for God in either the origin of life or the development of life.
Now, an evolutionist might claim, “Pastor, you are saying something that’s not true! Evolution doesn’t have anything to say about the existence of a deity or deities.” They like to always cover themselves, talking about deities, in case there’s more than one up there. They say, “We don’t say anything about the existence of a deity or deities.” Well, technically that’s true—evolutionists don’t claim whether or not there is a God, but one thing is certain—they do claim that even if there is a God, He has nothing to do with the origin of life or with the diversity of life. They claim that the origin of life is the result of chance, not God. They say that the diversity of life-forms is the result of random mutations, not an intelligent designer.
Evolution is a religious philosophy that says God has nothing to do with the origin and diversity of life. Evolutionists argue that evolution is a natural process that occurred by chance. What do they mean it is a natural process? This is key to understand. Naturalism, which is the basis of the evolutionist belief, says that nature is all there is. In other words, all that there is, is that which can be observed and that which can be measured. Anything else cannot be allowed into the discussion.
