ministries

Some of you might say, "This is so simple. Can developing a relationship with a lost person and inviting them attend church on a special Sunday really make a big difference in the world today?"

More than 50 years ago, our church was having a special evangelistic Sunday just like we are having November 7 and April 17. There was a special effort to invite lost people to attend.

A Sunday School worker named Mrs. Ritchie took seriously the challenge and she invited a young couple to attend. The wife was a religious person, but not a believer. The husband had made a profession of faith early in life, but had fallen away from the Lord. But because of this Sunday School worker's invitation that Sunday morning, this couple's lives were changed and thousands upon thousands of lives around the world have been changed.

I want you to listen to this couples testimony:

Because Mrs. Ritchie invited that young couple to our church where they were drawn to Christ, because Mary Crowley and others discipled them, over the years God has used the Homers to reach untold thousands for Christ through the missionaries and ministries they support around the world.

All because one faithful member of this church extended an invitation - because she wanted to make a difference.
