Giving

GivingGiving gets a bad rap these days. What started out as a worshipful experience, has now turned into a four-letter word. It's a common phenomenon that when a pastor mentions that his message is about giving, many people in the audience suddenly feel the need to start making their grocery lists.

If you are a grocery lister - you are missing out. Missing out on a glorious outpour of God's love on those who are obedient. We want to challenge you to give back to God what He has given to you. By others' gifts, you have been impacted.

Giving is between you and God. He knows your sacrifice and your heart. Pray about your gift and commit it to the Lord today.

***First Baptist Church of Dallas will began using electronic check conversion on June 8, 2009. The use of check conversion - also known as an Accounts Receivable Entry (ARC), Point of Purchase (POP), or Back Office Conversion (BOC) in banking terms - is among the fastest growing types of Automated Clearing House (ACH) applications due to its enormous benefits. It has added efficiency to the nation's payment system, generated savings for businesses, and led to more privacy, fewer errors, and greater protections for consumers. The check conversion process is simply a method of processing payments or contributions. A paper check that is received by an organization will be converted to an electronic payment upon receipt – debiting your checking account for the amount of the check. The organization will then store a copy of the check and destroy the original paper check. The electronic payment will show up on your statement with the date of payment and the amount.

When you provide a check as payment or contribution, you authorize us either to use the information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. For inquiries, please call the Business Office at First Baptist Dallas at 214-969-2405. For a list of frequently asked questions, please click HERE.

When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day you make your payment, and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution.
