Our Pastor
Dr. Robert Jeffress is the senior pastor of the 11,000-member First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas.
His bold, biblical, and practical approach to ministry has made him one of the country’s most respected evangelical leaders. Vision America honored Dr. Jeffress in 2006 with the Daniel Award for his steadfast commitment and boldness in proclaiming the uncompromising Word of God.
Dr. Jeffress graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary with a D.Min., a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a B.S. degree from Baylor University. In May 2010, he was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree from Dallas Baptist University. In June 2011, Dr. Jeffress received the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year award from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Jeffress and his wife, Amy, have two daughters, Julia and Dorothy, and a son-in-law, Ryan Sadler.

Executive Pastor Rev. Walter Guillaume has been serving First Baptist Dallas since 2007. Guillaume previously served with Dr. Robert Jeffress at First Baptist Wichita Falls. Guillaume earned a M.Div. degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a B.S. degree from Baylor University. Walter and his wife, Martha, have one adult son. |

Minister of Music Dr. Doran Bugg has blessed our congregation in worship and music ministry since 2008. Bugg has a DMA from Louisiana State University, an MM from Baylor University, and a BME from University of Mississippi. Doran and his wife, Kristie, have two children. Contact him by email at . |

Minister of Education Ryland Whitehorn directs the educational staff at First Baptist Dallas, from preschool to senior adults. Whitehorn earned a B.A. degree from Louisiana Baptist College and did graduate work at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Renea, have two adult daughters. Minister of Communications John Grable holds more than 32 years of experience in broadcasting, advertising, media and ministry. A major asset to First Baptist Dallas, Grable comes to us having led top-tier national TV programming and brand campaigns, and with years of service to the local church, prominent ministry organizations, and Southern Baptist agencies. Business and Facilities Administrator Sherryn Cates has served at First Baptist Dallas in the business office since 1984. Cates finds her purpose for ministry in Hebrews 6:10. Pastoral Care and Missions Pastor Alan Lynch has blessed our staff for 25 years. Lynch earned a M.A. in ministry and B.A. in biblical studies from Criswell College, with counseling and other graduate studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Liberty University, and Dallas Theological Seminary.
