First Dallas recognizes the importance of Bible study in a woman’s life, and that’s not all, we also know that women need fellowship and encouragement—they need other women to pray with them and to encourage them to live in obedience to God’s Word.
For this reason, we offer Women’s Bible Study, inviting women of all ages, from all walks of life—whether young or old, married or single, with children or without children, new to the Christian life, those who have been Christians for many years, and those who are just beginning to explore the Bible. When you come to WBS, you will find yourself engulfed in a welcoming atmosphere and will learn that other women have similar joys and struggles to share; we will study a passage together and recognize there is truth to impact our lives. Because our focus is God’s Word, you can be certain, you will grow in your faith and you will become a woman who knows the Lord in a deeper way—and that will impact all your relationships. Come and gather around the table, get to know women who live in your area of town, study alongside a woman with similar interests, encounter a new friend who is younger or older, and expect to be loved and encouraged! A lesson will be taught each week by our Teaching Team, and interactive Bible study, discipleship, mentoring, and fellowship, will occur at every table.
This year’s study: Free To Rejoice—A journey through Galatians and Philippians
We will look at how Jesus sets us free from the bondage of sin and makes us able to rejoice! We will also cover topics like:
How might it look if a busy mama understood she is free to rejoice because of Jesus?
Can a weary wife burdened by the struggles in her marriage possibly understand what it means to be free to rejoice?
How about a widow who finds herself lonely more days than not, can she rejoice because she is free from the bondage of sin?
Is it possible for a woman whose heart is broken to rejoice because she stands in liberty purchased by the blood of Jesus?
Can a single woman face her days walking in the freedom of Christ and being consumed with joy that changes her perspective?
Do you really understand your freedom in Christ? Do you think it is possible to rejoice always?
This study will challenge us to see the truth about being free by God’s grace—free to live for Jesus, free to stand firm in His grace, and free to rejoice in Jesus—always.
