Multi-award winning family group The Hoppers have been singing to global audiences for over 55 years with appearances ranging from presidential religious inaugural ceremonies and New York’s Carnegie Hall to singing conventions and church platforms. They have performed throughout the United States as well as in Israel, Europe and Africa. Their unique blend of harmonies and song choices have created a legacy of musical excellence embraced by leading pastors and event organizers. Known as America’s Favorite Family of Gospel Music, they are favorites on the Gaither Homecoming videos and tours, and their recordings frequently land at the top of the BILLBOARD sales charts and The Singing News radio charts.
Comprised today of family members Claude & Connie, son Dean and his wife, Kim, and son Mike Hopper, The Hoppers were formed in 1957 in the rural-farm town of Madison, NC, and have grown continuously for decades, touching countless lives around the world. A cancer survivor, Connie has been honored with the prestigious Marvin Norcross Award, in addition to numerous industry and fan honors; and she has been inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Sons Dean and Mike have continued the family legacy with their musical talents and business abilities; and Kim, Dean’s wife, hails from her own nationally acclaimed musical family, The Greenes. She is noted for the excitement she brings to any live performance, and her unmistakable, rafter-ringing soprano vocals have taken The Hoppers to new heights for many years.
ERNIE HAASE + SIGNATURE SOUND
From its formation in 2003, Ernie Haase has built Signature Sound into one of the most popular and beloved quartets in all of Southern Gospel music. The group has traveled all over the world, offering energy, excitement and encouragement through its powerful brand of gospel music. EHSS continues to gain fans all around the globe with its unique performances and unmistakable four-part harmonies.
From concerts in Latvia and India to South Africa and New Zealand, events all around North America, TV appearances on ESPN with NASCAR, multiple NBA appearances singing our National Anthem, and even a specialty tour of historic American theaters in support of the EHSS Broadway project featuring Les Misérables legend J. Mark McVey, Signature Sound is a world-renowned quartet that spans a wide variety of genres and cultures.
As group founder, Haase is a creative, hard-working tenor whose early roots with the unforgettable and legendary Southern Gospel quartet, The Cathedrals, helped begin his dream to form a powerhouse group of his own. Along with many appearances through the years on the widely regarded Gaither Homecoming Tour, his goal was soon accomplished and then some...as EHSS quickly gained an international platform in gospel music.
Ernie Haase & Signature Sound is both GRAMMY(R)-nominated and GMA Dove Award-winning, a radio favorite in the United States and internationally, and a leader in CD sales and long form music video sales--with several RIAA-certified Gold and Platinum DVDs.
The only person in history to be a member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the Amateur Radio Hall of Fame and the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame is Larnelle Harris. Admired by fans and peers alike for his majestic tenor voice, Larnelle has become the epitome of talent and integrity in a career that spans over three decades. Larnelle has garnered numerous accolades for his music including five Grammy Awards, eleven Dove Awards (three of which were for Male Vocalist of the Year), and a Stellar Award, among other honors. Larnelle was recently recognized by his home state of Kentucky with the Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts, making him the first Christian artist to receive the honor. He has garnered nineteen #1 radio singles and countless top 10 hits. Songs such as "How Excellent Is Thy Name," "I Miss My Time With You," "I've Just Seen Jesus," plus many others, including his signature song, "Amen," are now considered modern classics.
From the White House to the danger zone of the 38th Parallel, Larnelle has impacted audiences across the globe with his music and ministry. He was the first Christian artist to perform inside the Kremlin after the fall of the Soviet Union. He is one of a handful of celebrities to receive the Ad Council's Silver Bell Award for Distinguished Public Service in recognition of his song "Mighty Spirit" as the theme song for the longest-running Public Service Announcement in television history.
Larnelle continues to tour worldwide, with recent dates at Carnegie Hall and in Paris, France. He performed for the National Day of Prayer event in Washington D.C. in May of this year, and will sing for the U.N. Ambassadors later in the fall. In addition to his numerous solo dates, Larnelle also travels with various multi-artist tours including the Compassion International Savior Tour, the Gaither Homecoming tour, the God of All Glory tour, and the Sandi Patty & Friends tour. In a review of his live performances, CCM Magazine described Harris as having a “larger-than-life stage presence with impeccable vocal prowess.
The Erwin’s started singing as soon as they were each able to talk. Appearing over 270 dates a year with their mother and father, who have been in full-time evangelism for 40 years, they have been traveling full-time their entire life singing in concerts, revivals, and conferences all across the country. Three of the four siblings, Keith (born 11-12-92), Kody (born 4-26-94) and Kris (born 5-5-96) performed as a trio until 2013, when the group announced that their little sister, Katie (born 9-19-00), would be joining the group full-time on stage officially making them a Mixed Group.
Keith says, “Singing is all we know and all we want to do. It's our life and our joy to serve the Lord with the voices He has given us. We will gladly go through any door He chooses to open, no matter how big or small. We know the Lord doesn't need us, but He chooses to use us, and for that we are thankful.” And it’s with that determination and focus that The Erwins are blazing new trails in Southern Gospel, proving to their industry peers and fans alike, that the future of Southern Gospel music is, in fact, secure with a young group like The Erwins coming on the scene.
