At this age, kids are asking "when?, where?, and what?" Sparks zooms in on the details of Bible characters and events and helps boys and girls learn why each passage is important. 
We focus on helping boys and girls learn to know God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Each child works toward individual AND team goals of
memorization, behavior, participation and enthusiasm!
Sparks is for Kindergarten-2nd graders
Required Materials: Sparks will receive a handbook, vest and bag at registration. Verse CDs are optional.

Parents Involvement: Each section in the Sparks handbooks requires verse memory or home activities and offers explanations and applications for each verse. Parents should work with their children to help them memorize each verse to the best of their ability before each club meeting. In order to pass a section, Sparks must be able to recite the memory work with no more than 2 prompts per section by their Sparks leader. As parents work WITH their children, Sparks learn the importance of Scripture and its application to our lives.
Parents are required to serve in Awana leadership as a weekly, rotational, or substitute leader. It gives a deeper understanding of what their child is learning and invests in making our program the best it can be!
