Worship Center Construction Update
The tower crane at the site of our new worship center finally met its match this month. On August 16, four flatbed trailers arrived on site carrying the four sections of “truss B” – the individual sections weighing in at 42,000; 49,000; 58,000; and 38,000 pounds respectively.
“Truss B,” the largest truss on the project, provides support for the drum roof, as well as the catwalk and ceiling. There are a total of 9 trusses on the project, weighing in a total of 611,521 pounds. Three of the nine trusses support the worship center’s roof.
On a lighter note, crews began installing the first of more than 117 precast panels this month, the heaviest panel weighing approximately 28,000 pounds. The panels make up the majority of the exterior walls on the south and west side of each of the worship center’s three floors. Precast panel installation should be completed in September. Once the precast panels are set, crews will begin preparation for the glass that will be placed on top of the panels to complete the exterior walls.
Thank you for your continued support. It is because of your commitment that this vision can continue For Generations to Come.

Parking Garage and Andy and Joan Horner Education Building Construction Update
Next time you complain about the heat, you may want to say a prayer for our construction crew, especially those working on the parking garage where, on its surface, temperatures have topped 130 degrees!
Despite the heat, work remains steady, and concrete pours are right on schedule. Also on schedule is the underground work on the Andy and Joan Horner Education Building, now underway.
August 4-12 crews excavated grade beams on the south side of the building. Grade beams are used to distribute the weight of a building over unstable soil. The fun begins with the installation of the Horner Education building’s exterior envelope, set to start in January.
Thank you for your continued support of this project For Generations to Come.
