Kids Cove Christmas Parties Focus On Others
This year in Kids Cove, through a variety of service and fun, our children learned that sharing the love of Jesus is the best way to celebrate Christmas.
Our first through third graders went over and above for children less fortunate, collecting hundreds of toiletry items for an orphanage in Matamoras, Mexico. The second and third graders also made cards for the children, explaining the true meaning of Christmas, while our first graders gathered to bless those a little closer to home, sharing the story of Jesus on stage in the Kids Cove theater before family and friends.
The fourth through sixth grade small groups adopted Angel Tree kids this year, bringing and wrapping gifts like new shoes, clothes, toys and even skateboards!
"I am so proud of the First Dallas kids," Becky McAllister, director of small groups and curriculam, said. "They celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas with the knowledge that He is the greatest gift of all."
