It Doesn’t Take Distance to Make a Difference
On Saturday, February 6, members of First Dallas’ Acts 2:42 Sunday School Class didn’t board a plane to “do missions.”
They cranked up their cars and headed across town to West Dallas to serve El Calvario, a primarily Spanish-speaking mission chapel of First Baptist Dallas that needed basic repairs and a general "face lift."
“We’ve been trying to accomplish for weeks what you guys did in a few hours,” Pastor Rene Luevano told First Dallas’ Minister of Missions Michael Fore.
Outside, volunteers cut and trimmed many trees and branches. Inside, they replaced baseboards destroyed by

recent flooding, vacuumed, and cleaned Sunday School classrooms.
“What a blessing to work side by side with them!” Acts 2:42 Volunteer Bruce Dunai said.
