First Dallas Students In For a Fun, Memorable, Life-Changing Summer

Article posted June 3, 2010

Beach Camp 2010Do you remember the old Sesame Street song, “Which one of these is not like the other?” Let’s try an example … (1) Beach Camp, (2) Schlitterbahn Trip, (3) Wave Pool Party, (4) Boring Summer, (5) Indoor Rock Climbing, (6) Drive-In Movie Night. Now, could you pick out which one didn’t belong?

This summer is going to be amazing! And, the reality is that involvement over the summer is one of the very best ways for a junior high or high school student to begin to feel connected to a student ministry.  As you are reading this, I am hopeful that the name of a student crossed your mind. Maybe they’ve just recently started attending, or they haven’t been involved in sometime, or perhaps they are a part of a family you know who isn’t connected to a local body of believers anywhere.

I would like to officially take this opportunity to dub you an “ambassador” for the First Dallas Student Ministry. We want everyone to get the word out that the place for students to plug into for the best summer they could possibly experience is right here! Whether a student is looking to meet new people, serve the community, grow in their faith, or just have a blast with friends, they will find opportunities to do all of the above this summer with our student ministry.
