YM VBS Outreach to The Crossroad ChurchPreview of Young Marrieds VBS Outreach with The Crossroad Church: Last year, our Young Marrieds Ministry had the opportunity to assist with The Crossroad’s Vacation Bible School. The Crossroad, a church plant predominantly comprised of Christians of Indian descent, experienced a tremendous response from the community during VBS, and asked our Young Marrieds if they could help out again this year! On the evenings of Tuesday, June 21 through Friday, June 24, approximately 400 children will fill Jefferson Park in Irving for The Crossroad’s VBS. During VBS, the children will have the opportunity to hear about the love of Jesus, some for the first time. There will also be face painting, bounce houses and many other fun activities! Pray for our young married volunteers as they minister to this community and share the love of Jesus with those they meet!

Singles Mission Trip to AlaskaSingles Mission Trip to Alaska Preview: July 3-10 a single adult mission team will depart for Anchorage, Alaska to work with GraceWorks, a mission organization that targets neglected neighborhoods throughout Anchorage. The “fields are white with harvest,” as Pew Research Center ranks Alaska the least religious state in the United States. Due to Alaska’s harsh climate, the state also has one of the highest rates of alcoholism and substance abuse. Team members will have their hands full as they work to bless a multi-ethnic community by serving at the local food bank and senior centers, and painting and repairing homes and local churches. Additionally, the team will conduct a backyard Bible school each afternoon with games and activities for local children.
