Dr. Ron Anderson, President and CEO of Parkland Hospital, Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

It was Anderson’s passion for caring for the poor that led to the building of a replacement hospital for [Parkland’s] outdated facilities, according to Dallas Business Journal, who gave the award.

“The real vision and legacy is the Parkland principles, not just the building,” Dr. Anderson told DBJ. “It’s a tangible thing you can see and touch, but acute care that addresses the disparities for minority and the disadvantaged is as much as a legacy as bricks and mortar.”

Dr. Anderson has been at Parkland for more than 30 years.
