College and Singles Minister James Patterson shares what's in store for college and singles --
I am so excited about the future of the College and Singles Ministry here at First Dallas! We have some great things in the works between now and the fall for singles of all ages.
We are creating a mid-week, summer Bible study just for college students that will begin before the end of May. We also have multiple outings and sporting events on the books for college students as well.
On Thursday night, September 16 at 7pm we will launch a weekly teaching and worship gathering called “Rhythm” for our college and young singles in CenterStage. Opening night will feature The Robbie Seay Band! For more information visit: rhythmdallas.com.
On Wednesday night, June 2 we will begin a weekly coffeehouse discussion group for Median Singles called “The Well” in CC504. We also have a community service project effort in the works called “The Horaios Project” which you will hear more about soon.
Other upcoming opportunities include a median singles dinner theater night on Saturday, May 29 and a college and young singles Lake Day on Monday, May 31; another “Friday Unplugged” coffeehouse
experience on Friday, June 25 featuring Jim Cole; an eight-week Bible study for young single women beginning Wednesday, July 7 from 6:30-8pm, led by Tracy Patterson, studying “Me, Myself, and Lies:
A Thought Closet Makeover” by Jennifer Rothschild; finally, a Labor Day weekend singles retreat at Pine Cove Shores in Tyler, Texas.
