An Offering of Celebration

Article posted December 14, 2009

Celebration OfferingYou’ve been seeing the “real member video testimonies” in church on Sundays, and we hope you see it all around – the spirit of Christ coming into peoples’ hearts and minds; those in need being cared for, time and time again … children growing strong in the Lord, preparing spiritually for the obstacles that life may bring.

Ministry is happening all around us, here. Everyday.

Ministers reaching out to those in pain, like John Cullen in Pastoral Care, who brought the support of our church family to a couple, who weren’t even members, in their deepest time of need.

“You may not be official members,” John said to the couple who regularly attends our church, “but you’re part of our family.”

In addition to Pastoral Care, ministries including leadership, education, missions, communications and music continue to bless our community and church body.

We want these ministries to continue, with strength and vibrancy, but that can’t happen without your support.

“I believe that the understandable excitement over our new campus has impacted our ministry budget,” Dr. Robert Jeffress said. “To divert gifts from our budget to the new building will actually hurt, not help, our congregation. With the wonderful new staff members God has brought to our church, we don’t want to be forced to curtail or eliminate ministries that are touching so many lives.”

Pray about what you might bring on December 20 to support the work of our ministries in the coming year.
