A Historic Walk for a Historic Journey
On Sunday evening, April 25, the members of First Baptist Dallas took a historic journey, seeking the hand of God on the future of First Dallas.
At 6pm, more than 1,000 members gathered in the Sanctuary to worship and praise the Lord, calling out for His blessing. Then, these dedicated members began a historic prayer journey around the campus of First Dallas.
At the Cotton Exchange property, the future site of the new preschool, children and student facilities, members prayed their vision to become a reality. However, their prayers were not just for a new building or fancy facilities, but for the salvation of the thousands of children and students who will hopefully walk through its doors.
At the current playground, the site of the new worship center, members prayed that this future house of worship would be a place of praise for generations. Members also prayed for the future of the church’s music and media ministries, which will be housed in this new sanctuary.
Finally, church members offered prayer in Kadane Plaza, the future entrance to the new sanctuary and site of the fountain. Members prayed for the financial resources to allow our new campus to be built and for God’s spiritual protection of our church.
As the members walked the site of the future campus, they had a united heart: for First Dallas to be a “lighthouse” for the Gospel for generations to come.
