CHAPEL MISSION STATEMENT

In order to glorify God, the members of the Chapel Music Ministry of First Baptist Dallas, Texas united in love with faith in Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, join together to worship, to teach, to minister and to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to each other, to our church, to Dallas and to the world.

The Chapel Choir & Orchestra from First Baptist Dallas, Texas consists of approximately 150  high school students (9th-12th grade) representing more than 30  high schools in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The Chapel Choir & Orchestra began touring in 1959, and in the forty-eight years following they have toured the world singing and playing music ranging from classical, traditional and spirituals to Broadway, Southern Gospel and the latest in contemporary Christian music. Throughout that period, they have maintained a high standard of excellence and have been privileged to sing for Presidents, as well as leaders from many foreign nations. Over the past several years the Chapel Choir & Orchestra has toured in Israel, Kenya, Barcelona, Alaska, California, Canada, New York City, Australia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. This past June of 2007 they toured in Cleveland, Ohio. The Chapel Choir & Orchestra also leads the Sunday evening worship service each week at First Baptist Dallas.
