Dr. Robert Jeffress was called to be the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Dallas on August 12, 2007 by the congregation’s overwhelming confirmation, and began his ministry with the church on Sunday, September 16. He previously served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Dr. Jeffress is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Communications. He earned a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of sixteen best-selling books including THE SOLOMON SECRETS, HELL? YES!, GRACE GONE WILD!, THE DIVINE DEFENSE, and his newest book SECOND CHANCE, SECOND ACT.
Dr. Jeffress hosts a television program, PATHWAY TO VICTORY, and teaches a daily sermon series which is aired on 1,100 television stations and cable systems throughout the nation and in 13 countries around the world. PATHWAY TO VICTORY is also aired on dozens of radio stations throughout the nation.
Dr. Jeffress’ wife, Amy, is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Tarleton State University. The Jeffress’ have two daughters.
